New Asian hub will drive distribution efficiency

Macau, 11 October 2016 - A new platform created for Asian carriers to store and distribute products to third parties, such as brokers, coverholders and MGAs, will be officially launched at the East Asian Insurance Congress EAIC) 11 – 14 October 2016.

RuleBook HUB Asia is a Cloud-based solution that allows insurers to load their insurance products, enabling them to be accessed by authorised external parties. It provides a centralised and secure place for carriers to share products and rating with their distribution partners whilst giving coverholders the ability to access multiple carrier products by integrating into just one platform.

The platform has been created by Moore Stephens Consulting which has also announced major enhancements to its highly successful RuleBook product, that will also be official launched into Asia at the EAIC under the brand RuleBook Asia.

RuleBook is a market leading Pricing, Underwriting and Distribution tool which has already taken the London market by storm, and is now implemented with 15 of the market’s major companies.

It is a combination of a powerful rules-engine and underwriting desktop designed to be used by all parties involved in the underwriting process. Operating across its three core capabilities, RuleBook can help solve many of the issues faced by insurers and enable them to place business more efficiently.

RuleBook Asia will contain all the enhancement of RuleBook 2 in London and with the launch of RuleBook Hub Asia the region’s markets will have access to products that will significantly enhance their ability to analyse data and communicate with their distribution partners.

RuleBook HUB has numerous connection options. Once an insurance product has been created on the HUB, it is able to be accessed by any system that supports modern web services. The HUB eliminates carriers and insurers having to re-enter information individually into all brokers’ portals, instead placing the data in the middle to be accessed by all parties involved; including both brokers and carriers.

All pricing and rules are stored within the HUB saving users the need to look for the data in spreadsheets every time it is required. Once the necessary information has been entered for each new risk or renewal it is sent to the HUB, which interacts with any system to immediately show the correct price on-screen. The information in the HUB is then made available to all coverholders and carriers.
Paul Latarche, Partner Moore Stephens Insurance said: “The HUB presents a variety business benefits for the carrier and better distribution control over delegated authority business.  It gives protection over pricing rates, and the mechanics behind them, and therefore safe-guards intellectual property whilst additionally removing the need to send documents, terms and pricing to insurers. These can instead be accessed through RuleBook HUB, providing simplicity and extra security.

“This is a significant launch for Moore Stephens and the Asian insurance market which has generated a great deal of interest. We are looking forward to discussing its benefits with a large number of delegates at the event.”
